Ned was great fun to play and I loved working on that series. There are probably a million things I would do differently if I could play him over again because the idea is that you progress and get better as an actor. So, it's kind of difficult to watch your early work, but I hope any one who is watching it now either on tape or DVD enjoys it because a lot of work went into it and I thought the ensemble cast did a great job. I'll always have a fondness for it because it was my Big Break! I feel I've had a lot of those....

Were it not for the role of a Cockney footman in 1998 period costume drama, Berkeley Square,
Jason O'Mara might have been now treading water as a marine biologist instead of treading
the boards as an actor.
