Naming the role that Jason played in The Worsted Viper can be confusing. While the show credits list him as Jake Havelock (see above), the scripted character is Jake Hicks. The confusion of the sources listed on this page is understandable until we come to the name Jasper which is not mentioned anywhere in the script or end credits - apparently not making the final cut.

A young woman is found dead on the beach in a ritual slaying, which reminds Mrs. Bradley of her first case. Inspector Christmas (Peter Davison) is on hand to aid the investigation, which hinges on a smuggling ring, an advice columnist, and missing parish records. George's daughter is about to marry and may be the next victim.

A series of satanic murders in a seaside resort leads Mrs. Bradley back to her first case and to the discovery that blood is thicker than water in this episode, the final in the Mrs. Bradley series.
In this episode, Mrs. Bradley accompanies her chauffeur George Moody to the seaside town of Washcombe [should be Porth Carrick] to attend the wedding of Cecily, George's daughter, to the manager [should be under manager] of the local hotel, Bernard [should be Ronald] Quincy.
Then fishermen find the vicar's daughter, Chastity, washed up on the beach with a worsted viper around her neck and her hair shaved off. Mrs. Bradley is convinced that this is a satanic killing but learns that, prior to her death, Chastity had argued with her boyfriend Jasper Havelock [should be Jake Hicks] about his involvement with another woman. Chastity had also believed her boss, Bernard [should be Ronald] Quincy, and his mother Beryl [should be Myrtle] were involved in some criminal activity. When Jasper [should be Jake] is arrested for the murder of his sweetheart Mrs. Bradley has her suspicions.
